After the 2007 Giro di Coppi I had no idea I'd won because there were 4 gals in front of me
but I wound up being the first Cat 4 across the line. I immediately burst into tears upon
finding out.

Going to collect a prime after a crit and finding out there wasn't one. What the heck did I
sprint for? I wondered why I was the only one going for it.

Coming in second in the Giro de Cielo circuit race only to ride my bike right
into a flower patch of pansies and mulch 20 yards past the finish line because
I tried to look back over my shoulder for a teammate. The peloton rode by
shaking their heads wondering how the girl crashed out in the flowerbed pulled
2nd and a 3rd GC for the weekend.
